How it works

We use two technologies called Near Field Communication and Radio Frequency Identification.

Near Field Communication or NFC, is a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology which enables the exchange of data between devices over about a 10 centimeter (around 4 inches) distance. An easy way to explain what an NFC phone is, it is a mobile phone with an RFID tag and contactless reader pre-built into the device.

Radio-frequency identification or RFID refers to a tag that transmits data to a contactless reader, again over a distance of about 10 centimeters (around 4 inches). MoLo Rewards uses RFID tags that we advise you attach to the back of your mobile phone.

RFID and NFC is 100% secure and safe. In fact even if someone were to steal your NFC phone or RFID tag, let’s face it things do get lost even your mobile phone, there is nothing the would be thief could do. The only data we actually store on our NFC phones or RFID tags is a unique ID number that only MoLo Rewards can pair with any important data. This important data is secured safely on our servers so you can relax knowing that you have nothing to worry about. Just think about all the money you are going to save by using our services. If you don’t have an NFC mobile phone, you can either pick up an RFID tag at a participating business or we will send you an RFID tag in the mail. Once you get your tag, peel off the adhesive tape cover and stick the tag to the back of your mobile phone. If you are buying a deal and getting your tags that way, the first tag is free. But if you need a new tag for any reason you will have to request one via your account profile.

Now go save some money!
