Near Field Communication (NFC), which is a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology that enables a two-way exchange of data between devices over a distance of about 10 centimeters (4 inches). In other words, an NFC phone has an RFID tag and contactless reader pre-built into the device.

Radio Frequency Identification, or RFID, refers to a tag that transmits data to a contactless reader over a distance of about 10 centimeters (4 inches). MoLo Rewards provides RFID tags that can be attached to the back of mobile phones that do not have the built-in NFC technology.

RFID and NFC are 100% secure and safe. Even if your NFC phone or RFID tag were lost or stolen, there would be no repercussions because the only data actually stored on the NFC phones or tags is a unique ID number that only MoLo Rewards is able to pair with any important data that is secured safely on our servers.

If you don’t have an NFC mobile phone, you can either pick up an RFID tag at a participating retailer or we will send you an RFID tag in the mail. Once you get your tag, peel off the adhesive tape cover and stick the tag to the back of your mobile phone.

If you need a new tag for any reason you will be able to request one through your account profile.
